ELYON’s Commitment To Excellence Has Not Gone Unnoticed!!

Our Vice President, Shaughnessy Hodge , completed NMSDC’s CyberReadyMBE Program. The U.S. government and corporations now mandate their partners adhere to a certain set of protocols and Elyon’s CyberReadyMBE® is foundational preparation for the Department of Defense’s Cybersecurity Model Certification (CMMC) program. Elyon’s completion of CyberReadyMBE®, now allows Elyon to play a role in our nation’s efforts to protect data and intellectual property, which positions us to gain new business in an increasingly cyber-regulated marketplace.
- NMSDC Corporate Plus
Elyon became a member of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC)’s Corporate Plus® Program during the National Annual Conference & Exchange and MedWeek, in Baltimore, MD. To achieve “Corporate Plus®” status, an MBE has to be recommended by their customer, who is a member of NMSDC. NMSDC has more than 700 national corporate members that represent some of America’s largest public and privately-owned global companies. National corporate members nominate Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) for this designation. MBEs accepted into the Corporate Plus program, have demonstrated their capacity to execute global contracts for major corporations, which elevates their profile among national corporate members. The success of the Corporate Plus® program helps raise the level and perception of minority businesses to national prominence in corporate America.

Elyon was 1 of 859 employers recognized in an online ceremony by Acting Secretary of Labor Julie Su for recruiting, hiring, and retaining veterans from every corner of our country. The Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans Act of 2017 (HIRE Vets Act or the Act), requires the Secretary of Labor to establish a program, by rule, that recognizes employer efforts to recruit, employ, and retain veterans. In total, the veteran employer honorees hired more than 72,000 veterans in the last two years. The Hire Vets Medallion Award is the only veteran hiring award and is no small fete’ because the standards are high. Over 1,650 employers have earned a HIRE Vets Medallion Award and they are highlighted at www.hirevets.gov/awardees.
